Mark Birchall

Mark is the Associate Director for Health & Safety at Peninsula Australia, a role that oversees all of Peninsula’s health & safety consultancy and advisory services for the Australian market.

He is a chartered health, safety and wellbeing professional with 25 years international experience in senior safety roles. He has previously worked for several large organisations across a number of different industries, such as Hays recruitment, Transport for New South Wales, Hertz Corporation and the British Safey Council.

Mark is passionate about the application of the latest contemporary physical and psychosocial risk control techniques, as well as the development of best-in- class safety and wellbeing cultures through people centred engagement, ownership, accountability and doing safety differently.

In terms of credentials and qualifications, Mark is a Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Health (FIOSH), as well as also having a BSc in Environmental Science, an MSc in Environmental & Ecological Science, an MA in Health, Safety & Environmental Law and an MBA ( Org Psych major).
