What are the main reasons claims are declined?
Only 25% of claims are declined. The primary reason claims are declined is due to members failing to seek advice from Peninsula prior to taking action. The Product Disclosure Statement requires that members seek and follow advice from Peninsula when they become aware of circumstances which may give rise to a claim. For example, seek advice from Peninsula if an employee raises a concern about their employment, performance management, disciplinary action or if you intend to alter their employment.
